I’d say the Sci-Fi channel was killing me, since they’ve made some cancellations that didn’t please me in the past (Firefly and Farscape), but I think this one is purely a result of NBC’s acquisition of the Sci-Fi channel. No, it’s not another cancellation. First, I’m annoyed that I cannot continue to buy Battlestar Galactica (the new series) on iTunes anymore (Only Seasons 1-3 were available, but nothing is available now) - so now I will have Seasons 1-3 on iTunes and Season 4 on DVD.
NBC has this service at hulu.com that will broadcast its shows on the Internet. Regardless of the problems I have with the service and its quality, I still use it to keep up with Battlestar Gallactica. They used to put episodes up within a day. Then they instituted a week waiting period - this only mildly effected me as I just took a week off from watching it and started again last week. However, I’m here trying to see the episode that aired on May 23, now being June 1 (9 days later) and its not available. A sneak peak is available, but not the actual episode! Damn, man! Be consistent! They are really starting to drive me toward finding these episodes elsewhere - copyright be damned. I’ll get my friends to record them to VCR for me if I have to. One more inconsistency and I sign off from trying to use their online “service”.

I agree that the quality/consistency leaves much to be desired (Much like shows on Itunes) I have to give Hulu props for 1 thing:
Their Commercials are NOT Louder then the show you are watching!!!
This is kinda awesome (or.. have I I gotten so used to being abused that I think what should be normal is exceptional?)

Note: I have a commercial internet account with 10 Mbits down (And am actually getting that) , so I find it very annoying when the “HD” broadcast keeps falling below the threshold to maintain “HD” and goes all grainy…

Ilya told me that the license agreements they have with the media companies don’t allow them to “cache much”.
